On Wednesday 14th February a Love Your Beach Day Valentines Event is planned for Porthtowan beach on the North Coast of Cornwall. Starting at 10 am and going through to midday. The event will run a beach clean, a beach ramble and finish with the creation of a huge heart of people to demonstrate how well we all love our beach and its environment. The event on Porthtowan Beach is just one of many events with dozens of groups taking part across Cornwall, to create some noise about our fantastic marine and coastal environment and how everyone who enjoys it has a responsibility to protect it, in whatever way they can. On the day, there will be information on the top 10 things people can do to protect the coast and sea. Plastic Free Coastlines is hot news and Rosehill Lodges fully supports this environmental initiative. In the image above you can see lots of people taking part in our Blue Flag Day which was held last May. In order to achieve Blue Flag our local community had to implement and manage five environmental initiatives. We really do love our beach. So, if you are on holiday during this Half Term Holiday, take a walk down to the beach and have some family fun combined with helping our environment. Rosehill is only 5 minutes’ walk from Porthtowans Blue Flag beach. For more information please go to the Cornwall Beachrangers website. After your very active day you can look forward to a long soak in your own personal hot tub and curl up in front of your very cosy log burner.
