Feel complete freedom without the restrictions of having to get back in time for your meal at the hotel. Create your own menus and cook your own locally supplied produce or just light the barbeque. Have breakfast on the deck, dinner in the lodge or picnic out on the grass-the choice is all yours.

What is included and what will I expect to find?

For your comfort and convenience, Rosehill is pleased to offer the following as part of our all inclusive standard service. There are no “hidden extras”. No surprises, what you see is what you get.

  • Full size four person hot tub (St Pirans lodge, 2 person tub).
  • Widescreen ‘Smart’ TV.
  • Free superfast fibre broadband via Wi Fi
  • Charcoal barbecue (charcoal not provided)
  • All bed linen is provided
  • All towels are provided (not beach towels).
  • Logs, kindling, firelighters and matches for the log burner are provided free of charge.

  • Cots and high chairs are provided free of charge(subject to availability). Please advise at time of booking. Bedding for cots is not provided.

For family self catering holidays playtime

We usually include with each lodge your own buckets and spades for the beach, badminton rackets and softball tennis. Rosehill has a badminton net on grass.

Kitchen

The kitchen is equipped with: dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave, extractor fan, granite worktop, extensive cutlery, crockery, cafetiere and cooking equipment. An Iron and ironing table is provided.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms can have a super-king size bed or twin bed combinations. Please advise your choice at the time of your booking. All super-king size beds are 6ft and single beds are 3ft. Each bedroom has a hairdryer and a large tilting cosmetics mirror.

Bathrooms

Every lodge has a en-suite bathroom (with shower) to the master bedroom and the main bathroom has a bath with shower over. All bathrooms have extractor fans, heated towel rails and heated mirrors.

Lounge

The lounge has a log burning stove, widescreen Smart TV, DVD player/recorder, portable radio/CD player, coffee tables, leather chairs and sofas. The lounge features wooden structural beams, low energy down lighters and a deep pile rug.

Main decking area

The lounge leads on to the main decking area. This area houses a table and chairs to seat 6 persons and a full size Hot Tub Spa for 4 people. It has decking lights and is glass covered so you can dine el- fresco even when it rains. This decking looks on to your garden area which has a picnic table and barbecue. Perfect for self catering holidays.

This area houses chairs, outside heated drench shower and outside store for beach equipment, wet suits etc. The outside store can accommodate up to three 7ft 4in surfboards.

Every grass roofed lodge has its own heated drench shower. Essential for washing the family down and the wet suits after a day on the beach. Kids absolutely love the drench shower.

Heating

Water heating is mainly provided by an electric immersion heater. This is backed up by a solar water heating panel. Space heating in the lodges is provided by instant heat electric wall heaters as well as the log burner. It is not necessary to light the log burner in order to achieve a comfortable temperature. The lodges are extremely well insulated and are cosy and warm all year round.

St Piran’s Lodge

St Pirans is a Five Star Gold award lodge but it does not have a grass roof, glass covered decking area or log burner. It does however have central heating and an enclosed courtyard. Please see details of St Piran’s lodge on the separate page.

Car Parking

Car parking is close to your lodge in designated parking areas.

Facilities close by and transport

Nearest shops can be found within the village of Porthtowan. This is for groceries, surf equipment, surf lessons, beach equipment etc. There are restaurants, cafe’s, bars and pubs as well as a hair salon. The village can easily be reached on foot and will take about 5 to 10 minutes. The closest bus stop to your lodge is literally 100 mtrs away and buses can take you to surrounding villages, St Agnes, Redruth and Truro.

The beach

Porthtowan’s beach is a Blue Flag beach. This is awarded for exceptional beach and water quality. The beach is patrolled by life guards during the high season periods. The beach has great surf and is sandy and has many rock pools to explore with the little ones. It is only about a short five minute walk from your Lodge.

The only extras you need to be aware of are:

1. Each lodge has a standard landline telephone line. Our rates are set very low. Call charges are displayed in each lodge. Call charges must be settled on your departure.
