Winter Holidays at Rosehill Lodges in Porthtowan, Cornwall

Cornwall in the winter is a very different experience from the lazy days of summer. Dramatic landscapes embraced by stormy weather, towering waves, seaspray and fields laced in mist. Light the log burner, wrap up warm, go see the awesome power of the Atlantic Ocean and taste and feel the salt seaspray on your face.

Wild, dramatic, exhilarating and stormy.

Winters in Cornwall are generally mild and a white Christmas is rare. The beaches are now desolate, making for relaxing walks. If you feel like stretching your legs, take a walk along the South West Coast Path. Take in the views of the dramatic Atlantic coastline. Follow this with a great lunch in a beach restaurant. What a great way to while away your time and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. Rosehill is also open for Christmas and New Year breaks.

Massive winter swells

The best surfing waves are found in autumn, winter and spring. Porthtowan has an excellent surf shop (Tris surf shop on the beach) who will be happy to hire surfing equipment to you or give lessons.

Heart warming local food can be found at a number of places in Porthtowan Village.

If you have children, there is a brilliant play area right by the beach too.

What better way to spend a Winter Break? with evenings sitting by your own Log Fire or enjoying a soak in your own personal Hot Tub!
